چکیده

One of the most recent methods for controller tuning and optimization is Iterative Feedback Tuning (IFT). It is capable to optimize parameters of linear digital singleinput, single-output controller of general structure (P, PI, PD, PID, transfer function) in closed loop. A software tool applying the IFT method has been developed in Matlab environment. This tool was validated on several examples of power-plant control.

Fictitious Reference Tuning Using Information in Frequency Domain

In this paper, an application method of Fictitious Reference Iterative Tuning (FRIT), which has been developed for controller gain tuning for single-input single-output systems, to state feedback gain tuning for single-input multivariable systems is proposed. Transient response data of a single-input multivariable plant obtained under closed-loop operation is used for model matching by the FRIT...

ITERATIVE FEEDBACK TUNING FOR MIMOSYSTEMSFranky

In this contribution, we extend the Iterative Feedback Tuning (IFT) control method of 3, 4] to a multivariable setting. We report on an experimental study with this method when applied to a Single-Input-Multiple-Output torsional laboratory setup.

Direct Controller Design and Iterative Tuning Applied to the Coupled Drives Apparatus

The paper utilizes the direct method Virtual Reference Feedback Tuning (VRFT) for the iterative way of controller design and fine-tuning. In the work, a series of experiments with no restriction on data generation is used to design an optimal controller of desired structure without the intermediate plant identification step. The approach is shown to be successful for the design and fine-tuning ...

The Comparison of Unfalsified Control and Iterative Feedback Tuning†

In this paper, we compare two data-driven model-free adaptive control design schemes: gradient-based myopic unfalsified control (MUC) and iterative feedback tuning (IFC). Both have drawn much attention in recent years, each with its own advantages. Based on our analysis and simulation results, we conclude that advantages of MUC are that it requires few assumptions on the plant and seems to be s...

Improving Convergence of Iterative Feedback Tuning

Iterative Feedback Tuning constitutes an attractive control loop tuning method for processes in the absence of an accurate process model. It is a purely data driven approach aiming at optimizing the closed loop performance. The standard formulation ensures an unbiased estimate of the loop performance cost function gradient with respect to the control parameters. This gradient is important in a ...
